About the Bible

At Kimberly we believe that the Bible is the sole authority for everything we do. We believe that the Bible is from God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), therefore we strive to live and worship according to it’s commands as well as reject all human creeds (Galatians 1:8-9; Revelation 22:18-19).

About Salvation

We believe that there is nothing man can do to earn salvation from God (Ephesians 2:9). God has sent his only Son to die on the cross for our sins that we might be saved (Romans 5:8). We could not earn our Salvation so God gave the greatest gift ever given; Jesus Christ. That is the grace of God and it is through that grace that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8). The Bible gives us five steps of salvation, which are conditions that one must meet in order to receive this gift.

  1. Hear the word of God (Romans 10:17)

  2. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God (John 8:24)

  3. Repent of sins and strive to live as Jesus (Acts 17:29-30)

  4. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is the son of God (Romans 10:9-10)

  5. Be Baptized by immersion in order to receive the remission of sins (1 Peter 3:21)

About Worship

At Kimberly we worship the way that God has commanded us to do so in scripture, nothing more and nothing less. Every Sunday we perform all five acts of worship that are commanded and exemplified throughout the New Testament by the first century church.

  1. We Sing (Ephesians 5:19; Colosians 3:16)

  2. We Pray (1 Timothy 2:8)

  3. We take the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7)

  4. We give (1 Corinthians 16:2)

  5. We Preach/Study (Acts 20:7; Romans 10:14)
